RUCO-BAC is used for the antibacterial washing of the first and second layers. This is a thoroughly tested biocide that is used to kill bacteria. This protects the skin and mucous membranes against inflammation and infections and prevents unpleasant odors.
This washing is permanent and is not harmful to the skin.

After use, rinse the pants with cold water before washing them.
Wash at max. 40 degrees. Allow to dry after washing and the pants can be used again.
Do not bleach, do not soak, do not use fabric softener, do not tumble dry or iron.

washing instructions for menstrual underwear

to wash

Wash your moodies before wearing your moodies . This is very important. You can compare the absorbent fabric in the gusset with a towel: if you don't wash it, it won't absorb moisture.
to rinse

Rinse! After wearing your moodies, rinse them under the tap or take them with you in the shower before putting them in the wash. Don't soak them in water! Then hang them on the edge of the laundry basket until you wash them again.
40 degrees was

Wash at max 40º . Together with your other laundry. Use regular detergent or ecological detergent, but no fabric softener (Please note that most washing pods also contain fabric softener). Instead of fabric softener you can use organic natural vinegar. Spinning is no problem.
to hang

Do not put in the dryer . Hang your pants to dry. It is better not to put your moodies in the dryer because this can cause the technical fabrics in the crotch to lose their effectiveness.
maintenance

Sometimes, after a few months, your panties may need a thorough overhaul . This is especially true if you occasionally notice your panties leaking more easily, or if they're starting to smell a bit more.

A more thorough cleaning every three months will ensure that the Moodies last as long as possible , you can prevent unpleasant odors and everything stays hygienic and clean .

what is the difference between the regular Hipster and the Hipster Lace?
The Hipster Lace has a stylish lace outer fabric made of 85% nylon / 15% elastane with a bamboo lining inside (95% bamboo viscose / 5% elastane). This makes it soft against the skin while looking like lingerie. The absorption capacity is moderate: approximately 10 ml / 2 tampons, 8–10 hours. Perfect for those who want to feel elegant even during their period.
is the Hipster Lace also suitable for light bladder leakage?
Yes. The Hipster Lace has moderate absorption and is therefore also suitable for light bladder leakage during the day — for example when sneezing or exercising. The RUCO-BAC antibacterial layer neutralises odours effectively. For heavier incontinence, the Everyday Highwaist Hiphugger is a better choice.
how does the Hipster Lace fit under clothing?
The Hipster Lace has a lace trim that doesn't show under clothing. The bamboo lining is soft enough to wear all day without skin irritation. Under tight trousers or dresses, the seamless Hiphugger is slightly less visible, but the Hipster Lace is thin enough for normal everyday use.
does the Hipster Lace contain PFAS or harmful substances?
No. The absorbent gusset is Oeko-Tex certified and contains no PFAS. The antibacterial treatment (RUCO-BAC) of the absorbent layer has been thoroughly tested, is not harmful to skin and mucous membranes, and is permanent — even after multiple washes.
which flow days is the Hipster Lace most suitable for?
The Hipster Lace is ideal for light to moderate period days (1–2 tampons). Use it independently on lighter days or combine it on heavier days with a menstrual cup for extra security. It is also perfect as 'backup' protection alongside a tampon.
how do I wash the Hipster Lace without damaging the lace?
Wash at a maximum of 30°C — the delicate lace stays beautiful longer at a lower wash temperature. No fabric softener, no tumble dryer, no soaking, no bleach. Rinse with cold water after use. With proper care, the bamboo lining and lace fabric remain in good condition for at least 2–3 years.
