In addition to the outer layer of bamboo or nylon, our period underwear for girls and teens consists of three layers:
These layers ensure that you can wear our period underwear for 8 to 10 hours without any problems. And they don't compromise the comfort of the period underwear: the gussets in our briefs are only 2 to 3 mm thick.
All layers are OEKO-TEX certified, which means that the product is produced in an environmentally friendly and human-friendly way and therefore contains no PFAS.
Bamboo is naturally a soft fiber, which makes the outer layer of our period underwear for girls and teens extra soft against the skin. Additionally, bamboo naturally possesses excellent properties: it's cooling in summer and warm in winter. It also wicks away moisture easily, which is pleasant during sports or on hot, sweaty days.
Another reason we choose bamboo period underwear instead of cotton: bamboo uses less water during the production process than cotton. Our bamboo period underwear is therefore not only soft and comfortable but also a more conscious choice for the planet.
We understand that it can be daunting to switch from sanitary pads and tampons to period underwear for girls and teens. We recommend trying it out overnight, or on a quiet day at home without many appointments. This way, you can experience for yourself how long the briefs work for you. As soon as the seams feel damp, it's time to change.
Our absorbent underwear is also multi-functional: you can use it during your period, but also if you experience discharge on other days of the month.
Using period underwear for a child
Do you have a perfect day to try out the period underwear? Make sure the panties have been washed once first. This is necessary to activate the absorption layers of the panties.
After wearing, rinse out the girls' period underwear first. Do this under the tap or take the panties with you into the shower. Afterwards, the panties can be washed.

The difference in absorption is best seen in the drawing with the absorption symbol on each product page, not in the photos of the underwear itself.
On the product page, there is a button "which absorption do I need?", which lists all absorption levels with a clear drawing for each model. For example, the hipster is double-lined, and that's precisely why we added these drawings: this way, the difference in absorption is always clear at a glance, even with models where you wouldn't immediately see it from the outside.
