How is girls' period underwear made?
What makes our period underwear for girls so you no longer have to worry about leaks? Besides the outer layer of bamboo or nylon, our period underwear for teens consists of three layers. These three layers ensure you can wear our period underwear for 8 to 10 hours without any problems. And these three layers don't compromise the comfort of our period underwear for girls: the gussets in our panties are only 2 to 3 mm thick. The period underwear consists of the following layers:
- A layer of soft sports fabric that quickly allows moisture to pass through
- A low-absorbent fabric with an antibacterial effect
- A layer of water-repellent material that prevents leakage
All layers are OEKOTEX© certified, which means that the product is produced in an environmentally and human-friendly manner and therefore does not contain PFAS.
The outer layer of bamboo
Bamboo is a naturally soft fiber, which makes the fabrics of our period underwear feel soft. Bamboo also has wonderful natural properties: it's cooling in summer and warm in winter. It also wicks away moisture easily, making it perfect for sports or warm, sweaty days.
Another reason we choose bamboo period underwear over cotton: bamboo uses much less water during the production process than cotton. So our bamboo period underwear is not only beautiful and comfortable for you, but also good for the planet.
Try out menstrual underwear for children
We understand that switching from pads and tampons to period underwear for teens can be a little daunting. We recommend trying out the girls' period underwear at night or on a quiet, relaxing day at home without a lot of appointments. This way, you can see for yourself how long the panties work for your child. As soon as the seams of the panties become damp, they need to be changed.
Our absorbent underwear is multifunctional. It can be used during menstruation, but also if you experience fluid loss outside of menstruation.
Using menstrual underwear for a child
Do you have a perfect day to try out the teenage menstrual underwear? Make sure that the pants have been washed first. This is necessary to activate the absorption of the pants.
After wearing, first rinse the girls' menstrual underwear. Do this under the tap or take the pants with you in the shower. The pants can then be washed.

How do you tell the difference in absorptions?
To clearly see the difference in absorption, we have added drawings of the pants to the product pages. This contains the absorption cross and you can therefore clearly see the difference. There is also a button on the product page with: what absorption do I need? Here all absorptions are listed below each other and are made clearer with a drawing of the pants.
It is sometimes difficult to see the difference in absorption in the photos. For example, the hipster is double lined, so it is not visible from the outside that there are different absorptions.
What exactly are moodies and how do they work?
Moodies are underwear that can collect menstrual blood and light urine loss, so you no longer have to use sanitary towels, tampons or other means of collection. You can wear the pants all day or night before having to change if you have an average loss of urine or blood. This is different for everyone, so try it at home on a quiet day to see how this works for you.
Moodies uses technical fabrics in the crotch that absorb and disperse moisture and ensure that you do not leak through. There is a fine sports fabric against your skin that allows moisture to pass through easily and ensures that it feels dry.
These are all breathable fabrics, which have an antibacterial wash, which means that hardly any odor is released and it is very natural and hygienic.

An average menstruator produces 60-90 kilos of menstrual waste (tampons and sanitary towels) in a lifetime. This contains a lot of plastics and often even chemicals.
