The fabrics in the gusset are treated with an antibacterial wash based on biocides (RUCO BAC AGP), registered under EU no. 528/2012. This makes these fabrics effective against harmful and odor-causing bacteria. Extensive toxicity tests show that this wash has no effect on the natural microflora of the skin and that it only remains on the textile and does not migrate.

After use, rinse the panties with cold water before washing.*
Wash at max. 30 degrees. After washing, let it dry and the panties can be reused.
Do not bleach, soak, use fabric softener, tumble dry or iron the panties.

washing instructions for menstrual swimwear

to wash

Wash your moodies before wearing your moodies . This is very important. You can compare the absorbent fabric in the gusset with a towel: if you don't wash it, it won't absorb moisture.
to rinse

Rinse! After wearing your moodies, rinse them under the tap or take them with you in the shower before putting them in the wash. Don't soak them in water! Then hang them on the edge of the laundry basket until you wash them again.
30 degrees was

Wash at max 40º . Together with your other laundry. Use regular detergent or ecological detergent, but no fabric softener (Please note that most washing pods also contain fabric softener). Instead of fabric softener you can use organic natural vinegar. Spinning is no problem.
to hang

Do not put in the dryer . Hang your pants to dry. It is better not to put your moodies in the dryer because this can cause the technical fabrics in the crotch to lose their effectiveness.
maintenance

Sometimes, after a few months, your panties may need a thorough overhaul . This is especially true if you occasionally notice your panties leaking more easily, or if they're starting to smell a bit more.

A more thorough cleaning every three months will ensure that the Moodies last as long as possible , you can prevent unpleasant odors and everything stays hygienic and clean .

can I swim with the Classic Bikini during a heavier period?
With a moderate flow, the moderate-heavy version offers standalone protection for 2–4 hours of swimming. For a heavier flow we advise combining with a menstrual cup for maximum security.

Yes. The quick-drying fabric (82% recycled nylon) is comfortable to wear all day. The absorbent layer remains effective even out of the water.

The Classic Bikini is supplied as a separate bottom and can be combined with any bikini top. Moodies also offers matching bikini tops. The neutral colour (black) pairs with almost everything.
