material & washing instructions

Material outside fabric is: 85% recycled nylon / 15% elastane
Gusset 1st layer: mesh 94% polyester / 6% elastane
2nd layer: terry 100% polyester
3rd layer: PU (polyurethane)
RUCO-BAC is used for the antibacterial washing of the first and second layers. This is a thoroughly tested biocide that is used to kill bacteria. This protects the skin and mucous membranes against inflammation and infections and prevents unpleasant odors.
This washing is permanent and is not harmful to the skin.

After use, rinse the pants with cold water before washing them.
Wash at max. 40 degrees. Allow to dry after washing and the pants can be used again.
Do not bleach, do not soak, do not use fabric softener, do not tumble dry or iron.

For some ladies, the hiphugger can pinch a bit in the buttocks or groin. This is because the fabric still needs to adapt to the shape of the body. This improves by stretching it a bit by hand.

*do not soak

washing instructions for menstrual underwear

to wash

Wash your moodies before wearing your moodies . This is very important. You can compare the absorbent fabric in the gusset with a towel: if you don't wash it, it won't absorb moisture.

to rinse

Rinse! After wearing your moodies, rinse them under the tap or take them with you in the shower before putting them in the wash. Don't soak them in water! Then hang them on the edge of the laundry basket until you wash them again.

40 degrees was

Wash at max 40º . Together with your other laundry. Use regular detergent or ecological detergent, but no fabric softener (Please note that most washing pods also contain fabric softener). Instead of fabric softener you can use organic natural vinegar. Spinning is no problem.

to hang

Do not put in the dryer . Hang your pants to dry. It is better not to put your moodies in the dryer because this can cause the technical fabrics in the crotch to lose their effectiveness.

maintenance

Sometimes, after a few months, your panties may need a thorough overhaul . This is especially true if you occasionally notice your panties leaking more easily, or if they're starting to smell a bit more.

A more thorough cleaning every three months will ensure that the Moodies last as long as possible , you can prevent unpleasant odors and everything stays hygienic and clean .

frequently asked questions

who is the Seamless Highwaist Hiphugger most suitable for?
The Highwaist Hiphugger is ideal for: women who want tummy coverage during their period, pregnant women (the low band sits below the bump), women after childbirth or caesarean section, and women going through menopause with bladder leakage. The high waist gives a supportive feel without constricting.
how much does the Highwaist Hiphugger absorb?
Moderate-heavy: approximately 13 ml / 2–3 tampons. Heavy: approximately 18 ml / 3–4 tampons, both for 8–10 hours. The heavy version is also suitable as night protection on normal period nights.
how does the Highwaist Hiphugger sit over the belly?
The wide waistband comes up above the navel and gently wraps around the belly. There are no hard elastic bands; the fabric (85% recycled nylon / 15% elastane) stretches with you. During pregnancy the band grows with a small to medium bump. After a caesarean section the band sits comfortably above the scar.
is the Highwaist Hiphugger also suitable for bladder leakage?
Yes. Both absorption levels are suitable for both menstruation and light to moderate bladder leakage. The Everyday Highwaist Hiphugger (separate range) has an even higher absorption capacity for heavier incontinence: 30 ml (moderate-heavy) and 50 ml (heavy).
does the Highwaist Hiphugger leave a visible line under clothing?
The bonded seams minimise visible lines, but the wide high waistband can sometimes be visible under tight tops. Under loose tops, dresses or skirts it is completely invisible. For the most invisible look under tight clothing, the regular Seamless Hiphugger is a better option.
how does the Highwaist Hiphugger differ from the Everyday Highwaist Hiphugger?
The regular Highwaist Hiphugger is for menstruation and light bladder leakage. The Everyday Highwaist Hiphugger is more specifically for incontinence, has an extra absorbent layer for thinner fluids and absorbs up to 50 ml — significantly more. Choose the everyday version if incontinence is your primary reason.
can I wear the Highwaist Hiphugger during pregnancy?
Yes. The hiphugger fits comfortably below the growing bump. Use it for light discharge or spotting during pregnancy. After birth it is suitable for lighter postnatal days. For the first heavy postnatal days we recommend the Boyshort super due to its higher absorption capacity.
